Chantry Middle School is part of The Three Rivers Learning Trust which provides education in the Morpeth and Rothbury area and also consists of Abbeyfields First School, Newminster Middle School and The King Edward VI High School. The Trust will expand further in 2018 to include Harbottle Church of England First School, Thropton First School and Dr Thomlinson Church of England Middle School.

Our schools have a rich and successful history and continue to be a central part of our local and regional community.  As a converter, multi academy trust (December 2011), we aim to build upon our successes whilst valuing our heritage, to ensure that our students are well prepared to succeed in the twenty first century.

Chantry Middle School, is a very popular and oversubscribed school situated in Morpeth, with 525 students, aged 9 to 13, on role. With an holistic view of education, Chantry Middle School delivers a broad and balanced curriculum and caters for a wide range of interests through an extensive enrichment and extra-curricular programme.

Our schools have shared values and priorities. A single Board of Directors is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of The Three Rivers Learning Trust and an Academy Council for each school ensures effective local governance.

The Board of Directors has an exciting opportunity to appoint an inspiring Headteacher who will provide professional, strategic and dynamic leadership ensuring high standards of teaching and learning and successful outcomes for all students.

Chantry Middle School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational middle school situated in Morpeth, Northumberland serving students from the ages of 9-13. The school is currently oversubscribed and has approximately 550 pupils. It is part of a three tier schooling system within the Morpeth partnership of schools.
