Woodlands opened as a community primary school in September 2008, catering for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. There are two classes in each year from Reception to Year 6.
Since April 2015 we have been part of the Creative Education Trust. This has enabled the school to rigorously pursue rapid improvement for the children we teach and we were graded good by Ofsted in July 2017.
Our mission is to develop the full academic, personal and social potential of each individual pupil. We have high expectations of our pupils and are an inclusive community and welcome all pupils from all backgrounds. At the heart of our ethos is the aim to instil in students self esteem, self respect and confidence.
Woodlands Primary Academy is currently being led by an Interim Headteacher and the trust is now looking to appoint an exceptional permanent Headteacher to:
1. Provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the school that raises aspirations and drives academic performance
2. Champion a culture that encourages initiative and accountability and strengthens the quality of leadership at all levels
3. Deliver a rich and varied curriculum offer that meets students’ needs in an ever changing world
4. Develop effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders across the community to fulfil the school’s goals
An existing Headteacher or an outstanding and ambitious Deputy with substantial experience of school leadership, you have the creativity, drive and ambition to lead our school. You will possess the leadership qualities and flair to make great things happen that will take the school to the next level. You are committed to further developing a strong team of leaders, teachers and support staff to deliver a culture of continuous school improvement. Building on the ethos of Woodlands Primary Academy, you will foster an environment in which learning continues to thrive and where students are at the heart of everything.
In return for your energy, passion and ambition, we offer you the whole hearted support of a very successful and growing multi-academy trust in continuing to develop Woodlands Primary Academy. You will also be rewarded with a highly attractive remuneration package, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a group of highly talented Principals and Headteachers to drive the Trust’s future.
The sponsors actively encourage all candidates to visit Woodlands Primary Academy prior to the interviews. To arrange a visit, please contact Creative Education Trust’s Recruitment Manager, Ian Harding, on Ian.Harding@creativeeducationtrust.org.uk
