Job overview

'Are you an inspirational leader with high aspirations, vision and drive?'

Worlingham Primary is an 'Outstanding' Church of England school in the beautiful Suffolk village of Worlingham, within walking distance of the friendly market town of Beccles in the picturesque Waveney Valley. This is a short drive from the stunning Suffolk coast, encompassing seaside towns such as, Southwold, Dunwich and Aldeburgh.

Our children value their learning and love school. Our staff all share an understanding of what constitutes the best possible teaching, and this is evident in the high standards that the children achieve across the school. The school was judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in June 2018, and we are confident of a similar outcome from our very recent SIAMS inspection earlier this month (February 2019).

In view of the early retirement of our respected and inspiring Headteacher, the Governing Body, staff and children are seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to continue to develop and sustain the strategic direction of our happy, caring school. We are looking for a dedicated Headteacher with a strong child centred
philosophy, committed to leading in a way that reflects the school's Christian vision and values.

You will ensure all pupils continue to receive the very best all-round education, creatively, academically, spiritually, socially and  culturally, that will equip them for a happy rewarding and fulfilling life.

At our school, we are open minded, and we have a lot of fun! We can promise that you will be well supported by our enthusiastic team of staff, children, governors and the whole school community.

School visits are strongly encouraged. To make an appointment please contact Lisa Hughes on (01502) 712375. For further information and an application pack, please contact Headteacher Recruitment at: headships@suffolk.gov.uk or (01473) 263943

Closing date: midday, 22 March 2019.
Interview dates: 24 / 25 April 2019.

This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. DBS checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts.
