Woking High School is a vibrant, high achieving, oversubscribed school with Academy status. We pride ourselves on innovative practice, consistently high standards of teaching, learning and assessment and are committed to both the pastoral and academic success of all our students.
Following the retirement of the current Headteacher after 13 years of exceptional service, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and inspirational new Headteacher to build on the considerable achievements and successes of the school.
We are seeking a proven or aspiring Headteacher who:
- will continue to drive high quality school improvement;
- has a track record of outstanding leadership together with the determination and talent to inspire our young people and staff to achieve more than they believe is possible;
- is able to communicate and implement a clear strategic vision;
- is an excellent leader of people.
In return, we are able to offer the opportunity to work in one of the top performing 11-16 schools in Surrey, which is also consistently placed in the top 10% of non-selective schools for progress and attainment nationally. Our students are well-behaved and highly motivated and you will be supported by a dedicated and committed team of staff, including an exceptional Senior Leadership Team and an equally supportive Governing Body. In addition, we are one of only 7% of Investors in People organisations that holds the prestigious ‘Gold’ standard award. This achievement highlights our commitment to leading, managing, training and supporting our staff through an extensive bespoke CPD/personal professional development plan.
You are welcome to telephone or email Mrs Ali Search, HR Manager, (email@example.com) directly for an informal discussion and to book a tour of the school.
