Job overview
Number on role: 94
This is an excellent opportunity for a headteacher to lead, shape and influence our future. We are a friendly school where children are valued, happy and enjoy learning. Currently rated as Good by Ofsted, we have many recognised strengths with no significant improvements identified.
A popular school with committed, experienced, and loyal staff, good relationships with parents and carers and a supportive governing body, there is much to look forward to.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, committed and experienced professional with a remit to further shape our improvement plan while continuing to raise standards.
Able to effectively motivate, inspire and influence our children, staff and stakeholders, you will assume responsibility for all aspects of school life. This will include directing our strategic planning, leading curriculum development and, above all, delivering a provision which meets the needs of all our young people.
To succeed, you must be a proven leader and manager with a good understanding of the needs and demands of a rural school and a clear vision for our future. You must also have the ability to maintain and further develop our team, maximise pupil achievement, analyse data and oversee budgets.
In return, we will offer you strong support, the freedom to shape the future of the school and the opportunity for your continued professional development.
We very much welcome school visits. If you’d like the opportunity to visit, please email Steve Cooper at North Yorkshire County Council or call him on 01609 536578. Steve will also be happy to answer any questions you might have.
