Heating and Plumbing Engineer

Ashville College, Harrogate, is looking to appoint an experienced Heating and Plumbing Engineer to join the Maintenance Department and conduct planned and reactive heating and plumbing works for the College.    

The role includes installation, preventative maintenance and repair of the College’s commercial and domestic heating and plumbing systems working on gas fired boilers, point of use water heaters and hot and cold water systems including tanks, storage vessels and associated pipework, valves and pumps.  The incumbent will also conduct other routine building maintenance tasks and attend call-outs if required.  

Candidates will be in possession of a relevant trade qualification and license (NVQ, Gas Safe) or time served experience and be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and capability in the role.  Ability to comply with H&S procedures is essential.   

The post is for 40 hours per week, including paid breaks and a daily meal. Uniform is provided and benefits include 32 days holiday (including bank holidays) and membership of the Sports Centre. The salary for this role is £11.82 rising to £12.89 per hour.
