About the role

This HLTA role is a unique opportunity for someone who has a deep rooted passion for the Arts.  This role will involve teaching Art and Music to pupils from Nursery to Year 6 to cover class teacher’s PPA in KHPA’s dedicated Creative Studio.  KHPA value the Arts and provide pupils with a high quality Arts curriculum and follows the model of the specialist subject teaching commonly found in secondary schools.  We are open to interviewing people with a wide range of previous experience.

We are looking for a motivated, caring and supportive individual to join our pupil lead team at Kings Heath. The right candidate should be bright, bubbly and hard working. 

Salary & Benefits

NJC08 £20,493 FTE, 39 weeks per year, term time only

Who we are looking for

5 GCSE at C grade or above including Maths and English

Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.

Motivation to work with children and young people.

Good numeracy/literacy skills.

Experience of working with children or young people

Experience of working in an educational environment

Ability to engage with a wide range of students from different backgrounds

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the Academy

Be able to work under pressure and prioritise your own workload

Be able to inspire, motivate and enthuse students throughout the academy

Ability to safely manage classroom activities and learning resources
