Working at the Academy:  Dartford Primary Academy is a three form entry primary school in Dartford, catering for children between the ages of three and eleven. We have an outstanding Nursery with spaces for 48 children from the age of three on our St Albans Road site and a special needs provision at our York Road site for children who have EHC plans with ASD or speech and language needs. This provision is a satellite of the Trust's outstanding specialist academy, Milestone, and benefits from their leadership and expertise.

Dartford Primary Academy is from the recent collaboration of St Albans Road Infant and Nursery School and York Road Junior Academy and as such has a newly formed, collaborative and effective leadership team who are supportive of all staff and committed to their on-going career development.  Joining together the two schools has enabled us to offer a smooth transition for our children from the age of three to eleven and provided staff with enhanced opportunities to work across Key Stages, share good practice and draw on the experience/expertise found in a large staff.

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust:  Being part of a successful multi-academy trust allows the academy to share best practice and collaborate with colleagues from a number of other school in the local area.  As part of the 'cluster' structure all of our academies are grouped together in key geographical area to enable them to be able to support each other and share resources.  It also offers staff better access to career opportunities as the Trust is committed to developing and promoting from within wherever possible.

  •     courteous, articulate and confident pupils who are eager to learn and succeed;
  •     join a rapidly improving academy and make a difference to pupil progress and attainment with the support of a dedicated senior leadership team that has high expectations;
  •     opportunities to work with colleagues across Leigh Academies Trust;
  •     access support and advice from other specialist provisions within the Trust;
  •     friendly, supportive and dedicated colleagues.

The academy is committed to safeguarding children and successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.  Our commitment to safeguarding is underpinned by robust processes and checks which are in place across the Trust.
