Working as part of The GORSE Academies Trust, The Ruth Gorse Academy will ensure that students receive an outstanding education that focuses on aspiration, high expectations and personalisation. Together these non-negotiable values will instil in young people a self-belief that enables students to access the highest standard of higher educational provision and employment. We believe that poverty and deprivation should in no way limit either the quality of a young person’s educational experience or the levels of achievement to which those students are able to rise.
We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (or Designate) to plan, deliver and evaluate sessions with individual children, small groups and whole classes. The successful candidate will be a dedicated, talented and energetic individual with the ability to support the learning of students within the fields of literacy and numeracy. Building excellent relationships with students, parents and teachers forms an essential part of this role.
The successful candidate will support students with weak numeracy or literacy skills across the school and lead on planning and delivering programs that enable students to make better than expected progress within these areas. They will play a pivotal role in developing new approaches to supporting young people both within and outside the classroom. Training will be provided and opportunities for further professional development will be made available.
This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is keen to be at the forefront of our organisational change. The GORSE Academies Trust continues to demonstrate exceptional opportunities for the students within the Trust. Recently, The Ruth Gorse Academy joined Hillcrest Academy, The Morley Academy and The Farnley Academy in being rated as Outstanding in all categories in their OFSTED inspections.
