Job overview
Woodlands Primary Academy are looking for a qualified HLTA to join our Key Stage 1 team to:
- work as part of a team including teachers and other support staff to support the learning and welfare of all pupils/students.
- provide PPA / Leadership cover: Providing daily timetabled cover in the absence of the classroom teacher in all year groups from Nursery to Year 6
- work across KS1 and Early Years. Please specify on your application if you have a subject specialism which you would like to deliver across the year groups.
- provide practical support for learning, educational activities, developing social skills, integration and for securing pupils’/students’ physical and emotional well-being.
- provide short term cover in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- assist in the co-ordination and supervision of other support staff under the direction of the Principal.
- take responsibility for an identified area of school, eg the library, PE resources, displays etc
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Term: Part-time (32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 days)
FTE Salary £28,226 - £31,895
Actual Salary £21,591 - £24,398
