Our 1ACE (Another Chance Education) provision is for those who have had limited success in formal education, or who have struggled in specialist settings. Our teachers and support workers are specialist trained to work in developing the child. Our holistic approach boosts confidence, self-esteem and helps our young people to develop skills to be a successful learner. A therapeutic informed approach is used to recognise and reduce barriers to learning and create a personalised curriculum.
We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join our friendly teams at our Outreach provisions in Salisbury or Greater Manchester on a 12 month FTC (with the view to going permanent). In this role you would be expected to ensure all children and young people within our care are secure and receiving the best possible educational provision and outcomes.
Working alongside the Headteacher and other Teachers you will support with learning activities, help plan lessons, prepare teaching materials and resources. You will give clear and effective teaching to secure pupil progress whilst assessing the development, progress and attainment of pupils. You’re also contribute to an integrated model of care and 1ACE outreach developmental plan whist supporting the pupils, recognising and responding to their individual needs
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the national curriculum framework and differentiation. Ideally, we would like you to have gained an education standard of up to degree level, whilst showing evidence of vocational education or experience relevant to this post
If you are successful you will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS Disclosure check prior to their employment and then on a 3-yearly update. Five Rivers requires full and satisfactory employment references covering 3 years. We require all new employees to bring proof of their identity and proof of right to work in the UK
