History Teacher Required
Required for September 2017, well-qualified and successful classroom practitioner to teach History in our Humanities Faculty (please note that there may also be some requirement to teach ‘Ethics and Values’ (RS) as well). The take up of History at GCSE and A Level is very strong. It would be expected that for both posts the successful candidate would be able to teach up to GCSE Level. For the permanent role, the ability to teach A Level is preferred.
The post has arisen due to the popularity of humanities in the school and is a new post. The exact breakdown of the teaching will not be finalised until the options process has been completed for Year 9 and Year 12.
This is a great time to join our school as we have recently formed a multi-academy trust with three of our feeder primary schools, forming The Minerva Learning Trust. We are a member of The Pixl Club, The Jurassic Coast Alliance and The Jubilee Network. We have several staff involved in national initiatives and are an outwardly facing school in a beautiful part of the country! We are a successful school academically and sit comfortably above the national average in all of the new attainment measures.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. We will accept applications from all potential candidates and would note that we have a very effective and supportive programme of CPD for new staff and NQTs.
Please ask for an application form by letter, phone 01308 422291, or email firstname.lastname@example.org An application form can also be downloaded from the school website: www.colfox.org If anyone wants to discuss the posts further then please do contact Lucy Cleak by e mail email@example.com or phoning the school.
Completed application forms should be emailed to the Headteacher’s PA,
