Required for October 2017, Teacher of History (temporary maternity cover) to join our highly successful History Department.

Requirements
Our criteria for selection will be evidence of:
- Good honours graduate with a qualification to teach History at KS3 and KS4 level, and a History, Politics or Sociology at AS/A2 Level.
- Successful experience of teaching History in a comprehensive school, which could include teaching practice
- Evidence of further study or training (not required for NQTs)
- An understanding of current curriculum issues in History education
- The ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
- Sympathy with the aims and ethos of the school
- An understanding of, and a commitment to carrying out, equal opportunities policies
- A commitment to participate in extra-curricular activities
About The Camden School for Girls
Located in Camden, north-west London, The Camden School for Girls is a single-sex secondary school, offering places to girls aged 11-18. With around 1,000 students, the school has an extremely diverse student intake, reflective of the local community.
First established as a grammar school in 1871, The Camden School for Girls later became a comprehensive. Although the school is girls-only in Years 7-11, the substantial sixth form is co-educational and accepts a large number of its students from other schools in the local area.
