We are seeking a professional and experienced HR and Payroll Adviser to join our HR Team at Whitefriars School.

This is a great opportunity for someone with good HR and payroll experience to join our busy team.

Reporting to the Head of HR, this position is to support payroll and HR functions to ensure that HR services are provided to all staff and to liaise with external payroll and HR services.

The role will involve:

  • Assisting and dealing with Payroll - monthly pay cycle and liaising with external payroll provider and the internal Finance Team.
  • Advise managers and staff with queries on HR policies and procedures relating to employee relation matters.
  • Assisting with recruitment campaigns, Single Central Record (SCR), pre-employment checks and safer recruitment relating to schools and safeguarding.
  • Dealing with administration of staff on SIMs, SCR and payroll systems.

As well as having the appropriate HR and Payroll experience, the ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and be a strong team player. They will also be flexible, self-motivated, able to use their own initiative and have excellent time management and problem-solving skills. A recognised CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable although qualification by experience is equally acceptable, ideally in the education sector.
