Do you have the highest expectations for every member of the school community and believe in transformational education for all, irrespective of starting points and background?

Are you committed to promoting the academy’s vision of transformation for all, underpinned by the school’s inclusive Christian ethos and values, Love, Hope and Trust?

Are you passionate about ensuring that students from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to a life changing Quality of Education?

Do you have the experience, skills, insights and determination to contribute to the schools journey from good to outstanding alongside an inspirational and values driven senior leadership team?

We are excited to be recruiting for this vital role within our passionate, welcoming, and collaborative team. Working closely with the Academy Business Director, and members of the Senior Leadership Team you will, through your proactive, professional, and efficient approach, provide the team with expert knowledge, advice and guidance to deliver an exceptional HR service.

Within this role you will work collaboratively alongside skilled, experienced and welcoming colleagues to develop and embed robust HR systems and processes. These will enable staff to feel supported, and professionally challenged, throughout their career at St Mark’s to help us realise our ambition of achieving ‘transformation for all’.

To support you in this key role, you will receive a wide range of training and professional development opportunities; clear guidance and communication from an experienced manager and colleagues; the opportunity to utilise your unique set of skills, knowledge, and experience to help our school to consistently deliver exceptional practice; and an environment in which your contributions and commitments are acknowledged and celebrated.

We understand that education is a ‘team sport’ and therefore are looking for someone who believes in building strong relationships and has a truly collaborative spirit. Someone who is proactive, dedicated, and able to make informed decisions independently, whilst also having the confidence to know when it is appropriate to seek the relevant expertise and support of colleagues.

The ideal candidate will be suitably experienced, ideally within a school environment. They would be able to confidently advise staff at all levels and be professionally assertive to ensure our high standards are upheld. This role will involve managing various areas of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, absence management, training and organisational change. It is a role that comes with significant responsibility but also provides an exciting opportunity for someone to work with autonomy, with appropriate support, to develop their own approaches to the management of HR in a warm, well-regarded and high-performing academy within a growing multi-academy trust.
