Our school is a remarkable place and has been educating girls since 1888. Around one thousand girls, age 4 to 18, from Guildford and its surrounding towns and villages, enjoy exceptional facilities and inspired teaching. Guildford High School comprises a Junior School and Senior School, both on the same site. Job description

HR Manager

Full time, with flexible working opportunities during school holidays.

£40,000 - £50,000 per annum

 

We are seeking an HR Manager to provide an excellent service running the day-to-day HR operations of both our Junior and Senior Schools.

 

As a senior member of support staff, you will work closely with the Head and provide advice and guidance to the Senior Leadership Team on HR policy, legislation, compliance, and employee relations. 

 

You should have excellent people management and interpersonal skills and be able to interact and influence staff at all levels, build strong relationships with colleagues and the wider school community.  You will have a flexible ‘hands on’ approach to the role and be able to apply yourself to the full range of work within the department. You are likely to hold a CIPD level 5 qualification, or higher, and will have experience in a range of HR issues and an understanding of these in an educational setting.

 

A commitment to safeguarding is essential, and an understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and compliance frameworks pertinent to education would be advantageous.
