This is an exciting opportunity to join (and potentially lead) a department of experienced teachers and help take the International Baccalaureate curriculum forward in Middle Years Programme Science as well as possibly offer Diploma Programme science courses. The candidate must be able to teach a combined science course including Biology, Chemistry and Physics in the Middle Years. The ability to teach Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies at Diploma level would be an advantage.The successful candidate would join a well-established international school in London with high standards of teaching and learning and excellent opportunities for professional development. The department has undergone a transformative year and the post-holder will join an established team alongside a chemist, physicist and biology expert. The department is undergoing a full refurbishment of its two specialist laboratories this summer. The team are reviewing and refreshing the MYP curriculum to continue to prepare students for our established and successful Diploma Programme. If appointed, and suitably qualified, the candidate would also be able to apply for the role of Subject Leader, which attracts an extra stipend and time allowance. The willingness to teach other subjects would be an advantage.

We will expect the post holder to be an outstanding educator who can lead by example and has a willingness to innovate. An international outlook is essential and experience of the IB programmes and international education will be a distinct advantage.
