Job overview

We are looking for an ambitious and confident individual to join our Northamptonshire cluster to assist the Cluster IT Manager in the provision of IT Support to our Northamptonshire schools.

If you are successful in this application, you will be sponsored to study a Level 3 qualification and will be supported through this by experienced colleagues working in the department. We have proven success of offering exciting careers and development opportunities. 

Our apprenticeships salaries start for under 19-year old at £6.35 per hour, more if you are older and will progress as you are on the programme. You will need to be committed to undertaking and completing an apprenticeship programme and have English and Maths proficiency at level C or above. You must not currently enrolled in any educational program and not previously completed a higher-level course (e.g., Level 4, Degree, Master's) covering similar knowledge and units.

As an Apprentice Cluster IT Technician at United Learning, you will work with colleagues in schools to: 

  • Log and maintain support requests and keep users informed of progress. 
  • Provide first level hardware and software Service Desk support to users. 
  • Perform routine maintenance on end user devices, operating system and applications. 
  • Ensure all users receive excellent customer service. 

The role is based across Kettering and Northampton but you will be expected to travel between our other schools across Northamptonshire, therefore a car and full driving licence is essential. Travel expenses beyond the normal commute to the school nearest to your home location will be reimbursed.

Campion School in Bugbrooke, Near Northampton, is a co-educational secondary school. It became a Language College in September 1997 and an academy in 2011.
