We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to work closely with the MIS Manager assisting with the management of the College’s administration databases and providing support to users.  You will also work closely with the Network Supervisor assisting in the day-to-day running of the College network, providing help to both staff and student users. The role will suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team but who also has the confidence and independence to work on their own initiative. You will require excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm.

The College network environment consists of 500 PCs and laptops in staff offices, classrooms, the Library and Learning Zone running Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 2016. We have over 20 virtualised servers running Windows Server 2008 and 2012. The College has several internet-based systems including a virtual learning environment (Woodle) and a student and parent portal (e-ST Dashboard) which are packages based on SQL Server 2012 data. The College makes extensive use of SQL Server Reporting Services, Access and Excel to produce management information. 

The salary will be on the sixth form college support staff salary scale between Points 23 and 25, currently £21,627 – £22,991 inclusive per annum depending on experience, (£19,094 - £20,458 plus £2,533 London Weighting); with a pay award pending.  The College offers a minimum of 25 days of annual leave, plus 8 paid bank holidays and an annual Christmas closure period.  We also offer a very generous pension scheme and a bicycle scheme.
