Job overview

We are looking to recruit   a capable individual to fill a position assisting in the maintaining and   running of our ICT systems initially on a temporary contract. The successful   person will commence January 2018.

The ICT Support technician   will be responsible to the school Business Manager. They will be dealing on a   day-to-day basis with end user support as well as some basic network tasks   and new projects.

The person should be   familiar with Microsoft Operating systems, Microsoft Office and a knowledge   of Microsoft server based networks. Apple iPad and Chrome device/Google Apps   management and deployment is also desirable for this role.

We require an individual   who can work on their own initiative with minimal supervision to a high   standard.

Hours of work are 8;30am   - 3:30pm 5 days per week (40 weeks per year 38 term time + 2 weeks during   holiday periods for maintenance, cleaning and upgrades).

Hayes Primary School is a happy, thriving school in the seaside town of Paignton.
There are 455 children on roll including part time nursery children. The children are mixed ability with two classes per year group. The school has been fully refurbished over the past years and now boasts a nursery, early years and main school building. There is a large playing field, several playgrounds and a happy school community to fill them all!

Hayes School is the only school in Great Britain to teach all children to play steel drums and marimbas. We participate in South Devon Music Proms and Music for Youth competitions where we have been privileged to perform in the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.

The school has a stable, loyal staff including full time posts in Business Management, Financial Management, Pastoral Support, and Music and Drama.

Hayes School is situated approximately one mile from the town centre opposite a natural woodland and within a pleasant residential area.
