Job overview

Improvement Adviser – The Education People

The Education People is a leading provider of professional education services, supporting and improving learning, wellbeing and children’s development from early years to young adults.  We offer over 800 products and services specific to education needs and are growing and adapting our offer to ensure we continue to provide a high level of professional support and training to schools and other settings.

We wish to recruit an experienced senior leader and/or adviser to join our innovative team within primary school improvement.   As an Improvement Adviser, you will be working with a team of highly motivated and professional individuals, committed to ongoing improvement through working collaboratively with headteachers and their staff both within Kent and at times other authorities. Most of your work will be either specifically across North and West Kent or South and East Kent.

You will have significant senior leadership experience preferably as a headteacher or adviser and a deep understanding of primary improvement strategies. In addition, you will have a broad understanding of the wider curriculum and assessment frameworks. You will have a proven track record of leading improvements within your current educational role and of supporting a number of schools.

A secure understanding of the Education Inspection Framework is essential.

In addition to supporting schools as their named Improvement Adviser, the successful candidate will have the requisite skillset to design and deliver training and/or resources to support the development and improvement of schools as required. The role will include taking on a county-wide responsibility, working across wider Kent and further local authorities and schools on occasion when this is commissioned.

Full-time, part time or term time only.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 9 June 2021
