WORKING PATTERN: 37 hours per week TERM TIME ONLY PLUS 5 INSET DAYS

WORKING HOURS:    8am – 4pm Monday to THURSDAY 8AM - 3.30pm Friday

CONTRACT TYPE:      Permanent

SALARY:                        Grade E, Points 11 to 17 (equates to £24,054 to £26,854 P.A on a                          full time, full hours contract) Actual Salary at point 11 approx.

THE ROLE:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified candidate to be a key member of the ‘Inclusion and Engagement Team’ in the provision of support and guidance to pupils, parents, staff and outside agencies, removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective pupil participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and support pupils to achieve their full potential.

 

ABOUT YOU:

You will work with the Inclusion and Engagement Manager to manage a caseload of pupils who require intensive intervention for behaviour and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. You will have the ability to set and promote high standards of behaviour and handle potentially difficult situations and the knowledge and understanding of strategies to monitor learner progress and of the range of records used for learners.

Smithills School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Bolton, Lancashire. There are approximately 1200 students at the school, between the ages of 11-16.
