The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring individual to become a member of our SEND team. Your role will be to support the SENDCo with the day to day running of the Learning Support department.

This post is 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil days).

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining up to date information and records for SEND.
  • Preparing and delivering small groups of student intervention to support needs of all SEN students.
  • Overseeing outcomes of interventions and student progress.
  • Administering testing for SEN students and keeping accurate data.
  • Collating, inputting and accessing a range of data required to update SEN records.
  • Entering SEN data and creating reports for student tracking.
  • Developing and managing the SEN filing system.
  • Working with the SENCo on provision mapping.
  • Managing an effective administration system to support the SENDCo and Learning Support department.

  • A good standard of education (ideally Maths/English GCSE grade A* to C or equivalent);
  • A commitment to high standards of achievement from students and yourself;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to act on your own initiative.
