Inclusion Manager (CONNECT) – Grade 7

Permanent contract – start date to be agreed

We are looking to appoint a CONNECT manager to lead and run our in-house inclusion provision. The purpose of CONNECT is to support in removing barriers to learning giving children, who may face some challenges, the opportunity to succeed at school. The support required maybe in helping to meet students social and emotional needs, supporting students who are struggling to attend school or in supporting students to access the curriculum.

CONNECT is a well-resourced department which is part of the school’s Access team which is also made up of the schools pastoral teams, well-being team and the SENDCO. CONNECT is line managed by the SENDCO.

CONNECT is staffed by the CONNECT manager and a full-time Learning Support Assistant. Many of the children who access CONNECT will also have staff who work alongside them. The SEND team is closely linked to CONNECT.

Continued professional development is vital in this role and the school is supportive of this, with access to the whole school CPD programme and bespoke external provision.

We are looking to appoint a candidate who is:

· Experienced in supporting young people to overcome any challenges that they may face.

· Committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and succeed in school

· Experienced in delivering specialist support packages to young people

· Solution focussed.

· Strategic in their approach and able to evaluate impact of interventions put into place.

· Able to work collaboratively to ensure that children are getting the best support possible.

· Experienced in working with outside agencies

· Committed to their professional development

· Resilient, has presence, boundless energy and a good sense of humour
