We are seeking a School Officer - Inclusive Education to work under the direction of the Leader of Learning Services, to assist in the provision of quality service and support to students with special learning needs, in particular those who are underachieving or overachieving. 

Duties include:

  • Assisting developmentally appropriate student learning, either individually or in groups;
  • Supporting students with organisational skills;
  • Keeping records of day-to-day interaction with students; and
  • Providing feedback to Teachers/Leader of Learning Services

Ideally you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Teacher Aide and/or hold a minimum a Cert 3 in Educational Support;
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • A willingness to work as part of a team

You will also demonstrate an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

Position tenure:  Fixed Term

Weeks worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure duration (where Fixed Term)Remainder of 2023 School Year

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 29 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Salary level, range or hourly rate: School Officer Level 3 - $30.97 per hour

Employment conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
