Joining our Inclusive Learning Team, the Inclusive Learning Officer will ensure the effective co-ordination and monitoring of in class support for learners with learning difficulties, disabilities and ESOL, English and Maths support needs.


Safeguarding learners and promoting their wellbeing in all aspects of their learning, you will implement agreed individual programmes of support for learners to enable them to achieve qualification aims, develop independence, enhance progression opportunities and progress towards EHCP outcomes.


As our Inclusive Learning Officer, we expect you to be educated to GCSE/Level 2 level (or equivalent) and have a proven track record in supporting learners with learning difficulties and other support needs, to enhance learner success. We’d like you to have high level interpersonal skills, experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and a good standard of written and oral communication skills.


Experience of managing or leading a team is desirable, as is experience of implementing and developing effective quality systems.

Carshalton College is a co-educational further education college based in Sutton. It is a non-denominational school.

The college has been an education provider for over 60 years. It is a major provider of full-time, part-time, apprenticeships, access, undergraduate and supported learning courses. 

The college is situated in an environment surrounded by parks and ponds, but within a proximity of the towns of Sutton and Croydon. It is accessible from all areas of south London and its transport links also allow its students to be in the centre of London within 30 minutes.
