The Sheffield College is seeking enthusiastic, meticulous individuals who will have the skills to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive IAG strategy.  Professionally qualified to level 6 Careers Advice, they must be able to interpret National policy, ensuring the College service reflects and implements the development opportunities that arise from this. Part of this role will be to develop relationships with relevant external agencies and partners which enhance the College’s IAG service.  You will develop, deliver and embed a comprehensive IAG service throughout the student journey which maximises progression opportunities and positive destinations, including engaging with level 4 and above College courses to strengthen internal progression.   


You will lead on the delivery of careers education, ensuring the provision of high quality resources and be able to empower staff to provide support to prospective and current students by providing comprehensive information and advice. You will be expected to deliver IAG sessions to groups plus offer IAG to learners on a 1:1 basis.  The successful applicant will be educated to an excellent level and the post will be of interest to those who want to work develop their careers guidance experience to a management level.  You will reporting to the Head of Service-Student Progression and will be expected to build strong collaboration with the Learner Recruitment team, with Tutorial Mentors and curriculum teams to deliver the IAG strategy.  


The Sheffield College is one College with a number of campuses, the main ones being; City, Olive Grove, Hillsborough and Peaks. Whilst staff employed by the College are allocated a main base campus there will be times when people are expected to attend alternative sites for working arrangements.  The main campus for this post is yet to be determined.
