Job overview

As an Instructor at our brand new Abbeywood School , you'll get the opportunity to deliver training and development within your area of expertise which will inspire our young people. You’ll have superb leadership, specialist support and state-of-the-art-facilities, allowing you to focus on delivering an innovative and engaging teaching programme which will inspire our young people. Committed to fulfilling the potential of each and every one of our young people, no matter what their educational needs (including emotional and social difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and speech and language communication difficulties), you share our belief that all young people are capable of achieving great things.

You will have on the job experience of hair and beauty, and ideally a relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards completing one within two years.  You will develop work placement opportunities with local employers to help our young people put their skills into practice. Ideally, you’ll have experience of dealing with complex education needs, as you’ll need to connect with our young people – understanding what makes them unique and working to make a real difference to their social and emotional development. But none of this fazes you, as it’s what you’re passionate about and why you’ll fit right in.
