Job overview
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Troubleshooting all IT related problems.
- Monitoring network systems and respond to faults in a timely manner.
- Providing IT support to staff and students via the IT support portal, over the phone and in person.
- Creating documentation for all changes relating to the IT network and services.
- Performing routine software maintenance on all devices (servers, laptops, desktops, switches, etc.)
- Good exposure to problem solving.
- Ability to install and undertake basic maintenance of hardware & software.
- Keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies that could be used in an Education Network.

Altwood Church of England School is a mixed 11-18 secondary school and the only Church of England secondary school in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Altwood School converted to academy status in August 2012. The pupil roll is around 780, including some 140 students who attend the school’s sixth form.
In 1836, the school site was home to Boyn Hill Church of England Senior Girls School and St Lukes Church of England Secondary Boys School but in 1907 the two schools merged to produce a coeducational school called Altwood Church of England Secondary School. Altwood School became a comprehensive school in 1975 and a Business and Enterprise College specialist school in 2007.
Altwood Church of England School welcomes pupils of all faiths and no faith, but expects its Christian ethos to be respected.
