In September 2018 Astrea Academy Sheffield will open its doors. Astrea Academy Sheffield will be the Astrea Academy Trust’s first all-through academy which will embody our vision for an education that truly ‘inspires beyond measure’, whilst representing a beacon at the heart of a part of the city undergoing significant regeneration.
With an investment in excess of £25M, the purpose built academy will be cutting edge, including science and technology laboratories, modern classrooms, a 300 seated hall, 4G pitch, an underground sports hall, outside amphitheater and forest school learning area. This ground breaking campus is truly breathtaking and will also combine a Grade II listed building.
The school will grow with its community and will reach capacity within four years of opening. When all year groups are filled, the school will accommodate the education and personal development of 1370 pupils right through from Nursery to Sixth Form.
The IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing software, hardware and network management support, primarily to the Astrea Academy Sheffield but also to other academies across the Astrea Academy Trust as required (occasional travel to Cambridgeshire may also be required). The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role. They will also have strong problem solving skills, be able to work flexibly, will have the ability to prioritise their own workload and will be able to demonstrate high standards and expectations along with a can-do attitude.
