Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an IT Support Technician to assist with the ongoing maintenance of the computing and associated systems used by the College.

Based primarily at the Callywith College Campus in Bodmin, the post-holder will work as part of a larger team that provide IT and AV services to all college sites. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the IT industry and in depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, macOS and various software packages including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite. 

Applicants should have a good working knowledge of Ethernet networks and TCP/IP, familiarity with AD, SCCM, WSUS, Hyper-V and other Microsoft technologies will be an advantage. The successful candidate will be a positive, flexible, enthusiastic and reliable individual who will work well as part of a team as well as using their own initiative. Experience of maintaining IT hardware and relevant IT qualifications will also be an advantage. A clean driving licence and access to or use of transport will be essential, as the successful candidate will be expected to spend time at other College sites from time to time.
