New Rickstones Academy is graded ‘Good’ and has a state of the art new building offering fantastic facilities for both students and staff alike. Staff benefits include a Health Cash Plan, Local Government Pension Scheme and discounted membership at Witham Leisure Centre.

Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, you will be responsible for providing frontline support for students and staff to ensure that academy IT systems are fully functioning at all times, maintaining IT Service Level. You will also contribute to the continued development of the Academy IT provision. This is a position in which you can grow and develop, and work closely in plans to develop the networks. 

On occasions you may also support our sister academy, Maltings Academy, also in Witham. Both academies are new builds and have benefited from significant investment in their ICT infrastructure.  We have a range of different systems running on our networks including Windows and Mac OSX. Both academies use Google Apps for Education extensively to complement their internal networks. With over 500 devices at each academy, including desktops, laptops, ChromeBooks, iPads and iPhones, technology is essential in the day to day running of the academy. You will also be supporting a VoIP telephony system, for which training will be provided if necessary.

The working hours for this position are 8am - 4pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-3.30pm on Fridays.

New Rickstones Academy is a secondary school based in Witham.  This is an exciting time to join New Rickstones Academy as we continue to expand.
