Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, you will be responsible for providing frontline support for students and staff to ensure that academy IT systems are fully functioning at all times, maintaining IT Service Level. You will also contribute to the continued development of the Academy IT provision. This is a position in which you can grow and develop, and work closely in plans to develop the networks.

On occasions you may also support our sister academy, Maltings Academy, also in Witham. Both academies are new builds and have benefited from significant investment in their ICT infrastructure.  We have a range of different systems running on our networks including Windows and Mac OSX. Both academies use Google Apps for Education extensively to complement their internal networks. With over 500 devices at each academy, including desktops, laptops, ChromeBooks, iPads and iPhones, technology is essential in the day to day running of the academy. You will also be supporting a VoIP telephony system, for which training will be provided if necessary.

The working hours for this position are 8am - 4pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-3.30pm on Fridays.

If you have proven IT experience, a passion for constant learning and development and great customer service skills, we would love to hear from you!

Potential candidates are encouraged to contact  Jim Gavin, ICT Systems Manage, for an informal discussion about the role and/or to arrange a visit to the academy (jgavin@maltingsacademy.org /  01376 515 756 x256).
