Sythwood Primary School and Children’s Centre and the Bourne Education Trust are seeking to appoint a full-time, enthusiastic and motivated IT Technician.
Based at Sythwood Primary School, Woking for 3 days a week and working offsite for 2 days supporting local schools within our academy trust.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage, maintain and develop all ICT equipment within the supported schools.
The role is an integral part of the schools’ ability to deliver excellent teaching and learning, so we are looking for someone who shares our passion for providing all children with the necessary tools to excel.
The key tasks of the role are:
•Day to day technical support.
•Planning and installation of new software and hardware.
•Server and network support.
•Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
•Administration.
As our IT Technician you will:
•Be able to work in partnership with the whole school and whole trust team Planning and installation of new software and hardware.
•Liaise with colleagues and customers/suppliers.
•Manage your time effectively to ensure appropriate provision across all supported schools.

About Sythwood Primary School
Sythwood Primary School and Children's Centre is a large and diverse school with over 600 children aged 2-11 on our roll and over 120 members of staff.
At Sythwood Primary School we want our children to grow up and learn in a happy, orderly and safe environment where there are high expectations of both staff and children. Our Vision Statement is Great Learning, Great Challenge, Great Fun!
We believe that education is most effective when home and school work closely together so we arrange many occasions when parents and school staff can collaborate to help enhance the children's learning.
We work hard to make Sythwood an exciting and attractive school because children enjoy learning in a stimulating environment. Many visitors comment on our welcoming and colourful school. Each school year we have a variety of themed weeks which include "History Week" and "Science Week". These are in addition to regular days where we invite visiting performers, artists and experts into school to share their skills and knowledge with the children. Use of the International Primary Curriculum is an integral part of school life and all children from Nursery to Year 6 take part in extra activities connected to their class topics. Our recently refurbished all-weather floodlit games area is a great asset used by both our children and the local community.
