Key Stage 1 Lead (Based in Year 2)

Bluecoat Primary Academy is currently recruiting for a KS1 Leader to be based in a Year 2 class, for a September 2018 start.

We are looking to appoint an excellent KS1 practitioner, ideally with some experience of leadership to role model best practice and develop others within their team. We are looking for someone who can bring passion, creativity and a sense of purpose to our enthusiastic, forward-thinking staff team. 

Bluecoat Primary Academy is at an exciting stage in its development, having been open for just three years and continuing to grow in size. We have already built a strong set of values that are at the heart of our work and there is a clear vision for the future. We are currently working towards developing a truly inspiring curriculum that enables children to leave the school with good knowledge, great skills and a breadth of experience that will go alongside their high standards of academic achievement to open up a world of opportunities in the future. In order to achieve this, we need to develop our leadership team and therefore require a key stage one leader to help to shape the future of this key stage. This is a great opportunity for someone who has an excellent knowledge of effective teaching and learning, is good at creative problem solving, and is looking to take a really active role in leadership in order to bring about lasting change.

The children we serve at Bluecoat Primary Academy are from very diverse backgrounds and so our approach needs to be flexible, understanding and adaptive whilst staying true to our strong Christian ethos and maintaining focus on our core values.
