Job overview
We seek a motivated and experienced Key Stage 5 coordinator for Science, who is keen to take on new challenges and lead the Science department. Our science department includes 12 science teachers and 3 science technicians.
We have 11 new or recently refurbished labs, which is supported by two preparation rooms. In recent years we have organised trips to CERN, and have used local areas as well for field trips and visits. The Royal Observatory at Greenwich is on our doorstep, and we use them for our GCSE Astronomy course.
The John Roan is a fully comprehensive, 7 form entry, mixed secondary school located adjacent to Greenwich Park. The John Roan has been dedicated to serving the community of Greenwich for 335 years. We are split over two sites with our exciting modern building at Westcombe Park and a fully redeveloped facility at Maze hill, we take great PRIDE in delivering our students with the highest standard of education.
