  • To carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for an assigned class.
  • To carry out appropriate planning, teaching, marking and assessment activities so each child can achieve their potential.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.
  • To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.
  • This is a fixed term, full time role to cover maternity leave.

Who we are looking for

  • Qualified teacher status .
  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a Primary setting.
  • Evidence of in-service professional development.
  • Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of assessment and progress
  • Has a thorough understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Has a strong application of ICT to enhance children’s learning.

Interviews: 24th May 2024 

The interview process will include a formal interview and pupil panel as well as the delivery of a 20 minute lesson to a whole class of pupils. (The lesson topic and year group will be confirmed at point of shortlisting).
