About the role

We are looking for a teacher to cover the maternity leave of a member of our teaching team from after the October half term break.  This role will be based in upper key stage 2. 

We are looking for a talented, dedicated teacher and would consider a NQT or someone looking to enter the teaching profession.  We have a very supportive team and are looking for someone to join us from October (or potentially from September on a zero hours contract).

There may be the opportunity to lead a curriculum area across the school.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a confident and caring teacher who is committed to raising the achievement of all our pupils.  We are looking for a candidate with good teaching skills, excellent behaviour management skills and is a great team player.  You will need to able to work as part of a team and plan and deliver lessons in upper key stage 2.

Have/ working to gain QTS or relevant experience in delivering lessons in upper key stage 2.

The ability to provide support for all pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.

Promote good behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the agreed school policies.

Plan, deliver and assess children’s learning to ensure all pupils make progress.

We are looking for a motivated, caring and supportive individual to join our pupil lead team at The Arbours Primary Academy.

UQT or MPS salary

Maternity Cover Start Date 2.11.2020. However, a zero hours contract may be available for the successful candidate from 1.9.2020
