Coop Academy Clarice Cliff is a large primary school situated in Stoke on Trent and forms part of the Co-op Academies Trust.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, pioneering and motivated Key Stage 2 teacher and Maths lead who shares our belief in providing the highest standards of teaching and learning. We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who has excellent Maths subject knowledge and who is innovative and motivated and able to  play an integral, key role in securing the highest standards of education and raising outcomes for pupils in Maths. 

The right candidate will have a strong track record in improving pupil’s academic outcomes and we welcome applications from those who are looking to take the next step in leadership to join our extended leadership team. Leadership time will be provided to ensure that the right candidate has sufficient time to drive the teaching of Maths within the school. As we are looking for an experienced practitioner this post is not suitable for ECT’s.

  • Innovative and flexible in their approach and quick to take on new initiatives
  • Possess energy, enthusiasm and committed to enabling every child to be successful with a clear understanding and awareness of the needs and challenges of disadvantaged pupils and a drive to make a difference
  • Committed to the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour and to continuous school improvement
  • An excellent classroom practitioner with Key Stage 2 experience who is reflective and passionate about teaching and lifelong learning
  • Be aspirational, with an uncompromising commitment to improving educational outcomes for all children both in their classroom and as a Maths Leader. 
  • Be a driven individual with an ability to set clear targets, track and manage progress and develop strategies to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Able to develop positive relationships with all members of the school community
  • Committed to own personal professional development and keen to expand their knowledge, skills and understanding of learning, education and pedagogy in order to grow and develop as a teacher
  • Committed to developing leadership skills.
  • Able to use research and current thinking to drive teaching and learning and subject leadership
  • Committed to providing young children with a curriculum full of purpose and experiences
  • Be able to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, equal opportunities and inclusion as well as an understanding, awareness and empathy for all.
