KS5 Lead Teacher of Physics

Tes are supporting this school who are looking for a KS5 Lead Teacher of Physics who is committed to ensuring every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential. 

You will have passion, enthusiasm, alongside the skills and desire to develop and nurture every child in your care.  

You will deliver consistently excellent teaching and learning, to help all students to achieve excellent academic results.

The role will include teaching and co-ordinating the delivery of Physics at A-level across year groups 12 to 13. 

You will support the Head of science to enhance provision and will get the opportunity to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year.

You will join a friendly close-knit science department who believes strongly in teamwork and co-plan units of work to ensure consistency and best practice across all classes.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE; BEd or equivalent and hold QTS status.
• be an outstanding teacher of KS5 Physics or have the potential to become outstanding.
• be experienced in raising or the desire to raise attainment in a challenging classroom environment.
• have proven experience working or the desire to work successfully to raise attainment in KS5 Physics
• have proven experience working or the desire to work successfully with students of all abilities.
• be committed to the schools ethos of high expectations and no excuses and the belief that every child can succeed.
