To start from 1st September 2020 we are looking for an exceptional English teacher who will lead and manage the KS5 English Curriculum and inspire and motivate students in this high performing Bath boys’ lower school and mixed sixth Form.   

We need someone with dynamism who aspires to the unconventional and who will create a buzz and excitement both within and beyond the confines of the classroom.   The successful candidate will have to demonstrate exemplary classroom practice as well as an ability to both lead and work within a team. In addition, the KS5 English Coordinator will have to demonstrate the ability to deliver outstanding academic results at A Level - through rigorous diagnosis of individual students’ strengths and weaknesses along with the implementation of targeted intervention programmes.

The English results are very strong both at GCSE (85% achieving grade 4 or better in 2019) and at A’ level (81% A*-C in 2019). The English Faculty is proud of the success of their students at both GCSE and A level, and of the many students who take their English studies further at university. The successful candidate would be expected to teach English Language and Literature up to GCSE and English Literature at A’ Level.
