Lab Technician / Class Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Lab Technician to help with prep and lessons at this lovely Prep school near Haywards Heath / East Grinstead / Uckfield. This role can be either part or full-time, according to your availability. It is a really enjoyable job, and this is a very friendly and supportive school.

The role includes preparation of basic materials and chemicals for Biology, Physics and Chemistry lessons. Awareness of the health and safety issues surrounding handling of chemicals is essential, and a basic knowledge of Chemistry would be ideal. This role would benefit a college Science student with an interest in teaching, or someone returning to work who has a Science background/education. There is a considerable element of ‘tidying up’ after lessons which is an important aspect of the job. A calm, sensible, amendable approach is essential. Days and hours can be flexible to suit child-care or college commitments.
