We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant to manage our College’s senior science and physics labs, reporting to the Head of Science.
You will work with Risk Assessment and within strict safety standards to prepare and deliver orders for chemicals and equipment to assist teachers to deliver practical classes.
You will also manage stock supplies and make up stock solutions, clean and maintain equipment, and assist in designing or setting up experiments. On-the-job training provided as required.
The successful applicant must have demonstrated sound judgement and organisational skills, an ability to work with office systems and juggle competing demands.
Tertiary qualifications or significant relevant experience are desirable.
This position would suit a recent science graduate or science teacher looking to train in this role.

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term): Term 2 - until 25th June, 2021
Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: 3 days per week (22.8 hrs) - days to be negotiated.
Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer - Level 4 - $32.23 per hour
Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
