Kowloon Junior School is seeking to appoint a Lead Learner (Class Based). This position will be a full-time two years finite contract with a teaching and learning responsibility allowance (TLR3) starting August 2018, renewable by mutual consent.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Kowloon Junior School (KJS), Hong Kong for an enthusiastic, experienced and exemplar classroom teacher to join us as one of our Lead Learners. In addition to your own class teaching obligations, you will also have responsibility for leading pedagogy across the school.
KJS is a well-established and highly reputed 5 form entry primary school catering for 900 students from Year 1 to Year 6 and is part of the English Schools Foundation (ESF) in Hong Kong. KJS is a CIS Accredited and IB World School utilising the Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum framework. Teaching and learning at KJS is underpinned by an inquiry approach.
A Lead Learner’s main role is to model, encourage and advocate quality learning and teaching to ensure the best possible outcomes for the students. The Lead Learner is a middle leadership post attracting an additional teaching and learning responsibility (TLR) allowance.
Lead Learners at KJS are an integral part of the school’s leadership team. You will work closely with senior leaders to set strategic direction and help us realise our vision of “Success for Every Child”.

The successful candidate will be employed on a two years contract with a teaching and learning responsibility allowance (TLR3), renewable by mutual consent.
