ISL SEND Specialist Advice and Support (SEND SAS) work with children and young people with a range of complex needs. This includes children in the early years, with autism and other communication difficulties, sensory and physical impairments and also those who require educational support for medical absence.
We currently have two posts available to join our team as a Lead Practitioner:
5-25 years. Post holders will oversee educational services for all children and young people with SEND 5-25yrs within a local area.
A key function of ISL SEND Specialist Advice and Support (SEND SAS) is to ensure that the educational and developmental progress of children and young people (0-25), with a range of SEND, is met in line with the Hertfordshire Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Strategy and HCC strategic objectives.
As part of Integrated Services for Learning (ISL) all post holders will work collaboratively with the Delivering Special Provision Locally (DSPL) Partnerships and other colleagues both within and outside ISL to promote early intervention, assessment and excellent inclusive practice.
You will have qualified Teacher Status with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience, have management experience together with a wide range of knowledge, direct teaching experience and understanding of SEND.
