Lead Practitioner – English and Literacy
*This position attracts a TLR2a allowance of £2,721 per annum*
Due to increasing student numbers, we are currently seeking to appoint an exceptional person to join our expanding English team.

Our English department currently consists of 8 excellent practitioners. We will provide a comprehensive support and mentoring programme for the successful candidate to ensure that you excel at your role and can fulfil your own ambitions and potential.

Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and to accommodate a growing student population we have recently completed a further £10 million expansion project. What we’re looking for
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and a highly motivated individual, with a proven track record of success and of innovative teaching and learning strategies. This position will play a central role in guiding a vibrant, friendly and forward thinking team towards even better outcomes for our students. You will have an instrumental role in continuing the development of Literacy across the curriculum, with the intention to maximise student engagement and attainment. You will also be involved in the development of key staff members and trainee teachers, and will play a significant role in implementing alternative exciting approaches in the teaching of English. We are therefore seeking an experienced, dedicated and outstanding teacher with a unique approach to teaching and learning that inspires both colleagues and students.
