Full time or part time from September 2024 on permanent basis.

We are recruiting for a Lead Practitioner to join the successful and thriving Mathematics Department here at Cleeve from September 2024. We are very flexible regarding full-time or part-time.

We seek an outstanding Teacher of Mathematics who can teach Mathematics at A level, GCSE and Key Stage 3, and who can also play a significant role within the school as one of our ‘special forces’ Lead Practitioners. This post offers an excellent chance to work in a school where the quality and standard of Mathematics is high and where the Teaching and Learning vision across the school is incredibly exciting and all-pervasive. These types of roles are advertised very rarely, but they provide a wonderful opportunity and stepping stone into future Senior Leadership.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of what highly effective and inclusive Teaching & Learning looks like for children of all abilities and be committed to enabling all students to access the curriculum in order to fulfil their academic potential and to the very best life chances.

Cleeve School is an exciting and dynamic place to work. We have also invested significantly into staff well-being and we place a large emphasis on celebrating diversity and inclusion. Our cyber and STEM work is also very exciting—with clear links back into Mathematics, which can be developed further. Our highly innovative ‘2030 Vision & Strategy’ has attracted a significant amount of acclaim. As a Lead Practitioner, you would have a key role to play in its delivery, at a time of wonderful school growth and expansion.

The school is an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and therefore expects all staff and  volunteers, to share this same commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion

Please apply using our application form available from our website

Closing date for applications is 9am on Thursday 16th May 2024

Ofsted

“The overall achievement of students is good, and outstanding for some. It is outstanding for those students who need extra help and in some subjects, including mathematics. Students’ achievement in English and in the sixth form is good and improving.”

“Much teaching in all subjects and in the sixth form is at least good, with a significant proportion that is outstanding.”
