Woodrush Teaching School Alliance   

We are seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner to build on the undoubted strengths of our Teaching School and who shares an unwavering commitment to every child receiving an outstanding education. You will support the Headteacher in leading this incredibly important area of the school with clarity and integrity, and have the rigour and passion to make our Teaching School outstanding in its field.

As the Lead Practitioner for the Teaching School you will lead on the management and development of school to school support and take a strategic overview of CPD across the alliance.

The Woodrush Teaching School Alliance is a partnership of educators who are striving to achieve exceptional education for all through a self-improving system by removing barriers to learning, challenging established pedagogy and raising aspirations.

You will be based at Woodrush High School which is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed Academy and has an excellent reputation locally and nationally. We are situated in a pleasant suburban area on the borders of Birmingham, Solihull and Worcestershire only 5 minutes from Junction 3 of the M42.

Woodrush High School is a mainstream, non-denominational, secondary academy for girls and boys aged 11-18. It is situated Wythall, Worcestershire, near the city of Birmingham.

Our recent Ofsted inspection, December 2018, categorised Woodrush as a ‘Good’ school with ‘Outstanding’ Leadership & Management and Personal Development, Behaviour & Welfare. It is a Teaching School and a recognised National Support School.
