Job overview
In this key role within our Health, Wellbeing and Children's Services, you will be committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for Suffolk's children and young people, in line with the county's Raising the Bar agenda.
You will be one of a team of locality leads who monitor the performance of schools and settings within a locality and line manage a team of standards and excellence officers to ensure high-quality school improvement, support and challenge is provided to meet needs. You will work with school leaders including governors, to support them in their work to build capacity for self-sustaining school improvement.
You will also work across localities to play a key role in the continuous refinement and strengthening of the Local Authority's school improvement work.
This role offers you an exciting leadership opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of professionals to ensure the highest aspirations for children and young people, so that all children and young people have an educational and pastoral experience that ensures they can achieve their full potential, develop resilience, and build the self-confidence and interpersonal skills needed to apply their knowledge.
To lead on this vital area of work you will need vision and proven leadership skills.
The job requires travel, so you must be willing and able to travel across Suffolk.
