Job overview

Lead Teacher (EYFS).

This position is offered on a flexible basis and can be offered both full and part-time considered (0.5 FTE up).

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive network of schools, based in London. The trust is looking to add a Lead Teacher (EYFS) to their progressive and supportive EYFS central team ideally starting in September 2021.

The role will include coordinating and improving the EYFS provision and offering across the network's schools. You will partner with Head of Phases, Headteacher and trust leaders to continuously improve the EYFS provision offered at the trust's schools. You will be innovative and will enjoy working consultable across multiple school sites. The role will be based in London with regular travel to school sites which are currently located around Clapham and East Croydon.

“The networks model is based on our experience in schools and rooted in research on what works in early years education. The programme is built on a playful, knowledge-rich curriculum and a pedagogy informed by child development. Our ambition is to build a community where children feel happy, safe, and secure – a home form home where children learn by playing and having fun, exploring our classroom, the outdoors and offsite in our community.

We are a new charity aiming to transform early education by setting up a network of nurseries delivering excellent, flexible, and affordable early education for under 5s and their families.

Our curriculum is structured around storytelling and follows the Department for Education’s Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework. The first nursery opened at John Archer in Clapham Junction in October 2020, serving 50 children age 2 – 5 and our second opened in East Croydon on 1 March 2021.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for working with young children and with the knowledge, skill, creativity, and commitment to lead training and innovation in our partner schools across the Network.”

The school is offering:

• A super supportive and highly visible SLT team and Headteacher;

• on-going CPD with programmes of study such as NPQML and MA in Educational Leadership

• progression support throughout the wider group

• support package for NQT’s/RQT’s including CPD and NQT mentorship;

• the chance to take on further responsibility such as Leadership roles in the future.

The school expects:

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• a relevant Degree or a related subject

• experience of delivering across the EYFS curriculum pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject

• experience supporting your existing Head of Department with curriculum and scheme of work review to enhance student engagement

• a love and passion for education.
